The fact of the matter is that this is a blog, not a book. There are no rules or guidelines. The purpose here is to share my process and insight into myself and my life and then hopefully help you as you go through the same process. Some might call me an idiot, but I don’t see that as a bad thing. I am just another person trying to figure out how to do what works for me.
For me, the goal of the book is to help people be happy and to help them accomplish their dreams and goals. While life and death are pretty boring, I feel like the book is a way for me to share my thoughts without the distractions that life throws at me. I do not know what my life is going to be like in five years but I am hoping it will be worth the wait.

There are four basic “states” of happiness: the “happy”, “sad”, “deteriorating”, and “dying” states. In the first three states, happiness is the highest point of the happiness continuum. In the latter three states, happiness is the lowest point in the happiness continuum. The happiness state is a state of life where we are living life to the fullest and feeling great about ourselves. Everyone has a happy state and everyone has a sad state.
The sad state is usually caused by poor health, accidents, or some other external event that affects a person’s life in a negative way. The deteriorating state is usually caused by a disease or injury that reduces a person’s life to a level where they are no longer satisfied. The dying state is usually caused by old age, death, losing a loved one, or some other event that reduces a person’s life to a point where they are no longer fulfilled.
I guess I’m wondering what the difference is between the two, and how we can choose to improve our state of being. It seems like a lot of the people I know who are in the dying state are not doing anything about it. They’re just waiting for things to get better, so they can be happy again. Perhaps this is something that we can all agree on and make a plan for.
