It is no secret that I am a huge fan of the South Beach Diet. It is, however, no secret that I have a soft spot for a cookbook that doesn’t shy away from the foods that are high in fat. This book is a good example of that.
I’ve been reading this cookbook since it first came out and I think it has some of the best recipes Ive ever come across. There is lots of great info on things like carbohydrates, fats, and sugars, plus it has tons of great pictures and descriptions to go with each recipe. I would recommend it to anyone who is trying to lose weight.
Food. I’ve tried to read this book and I’ve found it to be the most concise, entertaining, and really good cooking book ever written. It has everything I need in it, but I think it is a real treat. If you’re just looking for a real book, this is a must-read.
Thanks to all of you who commented on my previous post on the subject, I’ve been getting a lot of great requests from the community to make more, and I’ve been making some of them for fun. So now I’ve decided that I’m going to make a second one. It’s called South Beach Diet, and it’s a cookbook with recipes on every imaginable topic, from the easiest to the most difficult.
South Beach Diet is a book that is an extremely accessible and easy read. There are recipes for everything from a good old-fashioned pizza to a whole load of other delicious things. For me, its the perfect recipe book for someone that wants to learn more about the subject, but still wants something a bit more “tasty” for dinner.
That being said, its not necessarily for everyone. A lot of times a person’s body is used to a certain amount of food, and if you try just one or two recipes they can become very fussy. I’ve had people try recipes like “make hummus with chicken” and “make a pizza with mozzarella and tomatoes” and “make a pizza with sausage and peppers”.
The South Beach Diet is a self-induced starvation diet. In this case, the person’s diet consists of nothing more than fresh food (preferably from an organic garden), and it’s recommended that she only eat as much as she needs to stay well. She’s allowed to eat as many foods as she wants, but she will only eat fresh meat and vegetables the week before a big big event.
The South Beach Diet may sound quite boring, but it’s actually quite interesting and can actually make the process of getting thin much easier. There are even some exercises, like squats and lunges, that would prevent weight gain.
