I know that I have not been as careful about my diet after a stent placement as I should have been. I have been eating and drinking much more than I should, which has made me feel sluggish and tired, and has in turn caused me to have a lot of pain. This may be related to how I have been eating and drinking.

The surgery itself should be a major wake-up call to your body. If you don’t exercise or eat enough, you can put on weight. Also, if you are overweight or have high blood pressure, it can increase your pressure and make it harder for you to exercise. I know that I have been feeling pain in my stomach after a stent placement, and it might be related to this.

In his new book The Diet Cure, Dr. Andrew Weil says that weight loss can actually reduce the risk of heart attacks. And that dieting also lowers cholesterol, which is good for heart health. So if you are trying to lose weight, focus on eating a wide range of healthy food the right way: whole grains, fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy, and fish.

That’s just the way it looks when we are eating healthy food. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying this isn’t important to diet, but if you are trying to lose weight, then focus on eating healthy food.
