It’s also possible to use a spell to manipulate the water, but I believe it’s the only way to defeat it.

The Bane is apparently a powerful entity that can cause Visionaries to do things that are not only very bad to people, but also to their environment. While we don’t know exactly how the Bane has created this evil, we do know that the Bane does not have all the right powers.
The Bane is one of the most powerful yet least understood monsters in the world. His appearance, his power, and his name are all unknown. And his ability to control water is also something that has yet to be explained. The only way to defeat him is to take out his evil power source.
